Section 23
Expert opinion can be obtained
(1) The Investigating Officer may, if deemed necessary in the context of the investigation, take any expert with him or seek the expert's opinion on any matter related to the crime.
(2) If an opinion is requested according to sub-section (1), it shall be the duty of the concerned expert to provide such opinion.
(3) According to sub-section (2) the opinion of the expert available should be kept with the missile.
(4) If the expert person according to this clause is a non-governmental person, the Nepalese government will have to provide the amount required for taking his services.
(5) Notwithstanding anything written elsewhere in this section, the Government of Nepal may establish such a board if the investigating officer deems it appropriate to seek an opinion from a medical board or any other board of experts on such a case due to the sensitivity or complexity of the case.
(6) If a board is constituted as per sub-section (5), such board shall give an opinion in this regard.
